For the love of body building! I don’t want to insult any form of exercise. If you are sedentary today and olympic lifting, marathons, speed walking, or cross fit….. ok not cross fit… will get you moving that is progress! I believe the best way for you to sustainably lose weight is to recompose your body by adding lean mass through lifting weights with the correct form and intensity. If you’re beginning your fitness journey, there’s a good chance you have extra fat on your body. Let’s take that energy at rest and turn it into calorie burning muscle.

I actively compete in OCB, NGA, and ANBF and hold several Pro Cards in natural body building. I opened Battle Grounds to create everything I’ve wanted in a gym and am excited to see you transform your life alongside the great members of this gym.

Sean Howard brings a unique mix of personal achievement and experience to Scale Tippers. He has dedicated his life to fitness and reached the pinnacle of body building by earning his IFBB Pro Card in 2024. Simply put, he is one of the leading fitness authorities in Montgomery County.

What separates Sean as a trainer is his ability to meet clients where they are. Have you competed but not achieved the placing you expected? Have you never stepped foot in a gym and don’t know where to begin? Whatever your goals are, there is no one better served to help you reach them.

Seans credentials include: BS in Exercise and Sport Science, MS in Sports Management, CSCS and ACSM certified, IFFB Pro, and 20+ years’ experience.

Emily Heiss is passionate about helping women step into their strength and feel more confident. She is a great listener and takes a thoughtful, client-centered approach, specializing in building strength, improving form, and creating sustainable habits that last. Emily believes progress should feel empowering, not overwhelming, and designs programs that prioritize proper technique, smart progression, and long-term results. Whether someone is brand new, returning after time away, or ready to push toward new goals, she ensures her clients feel capable and supported every step of the way.
